Tony a Sikh who was born and raised in Leith , Edinburgh.
Starting as a trainee at 16 ,and studied at Edinburgh’s Telford Collage to learn classic French cookery,
From their Tony hones his skill in seasonal, amazing Scottish produce by working in Scotland’s most prestigious establishments, The HMS Royal Yacht Britannia, The Royal Scotsman Train, Skibo Castle, Greywalls and The Balmoral.
Opening his first restaurant the award winning Oloroso then Roti and Tony`s Table, Tony showed his flare in the use of Scotland’s amazing larder with his Sikh heritage and influences from around the world.
From this solid foundation of training and experience Tony has been fortunate to work Televising his own Series The Incredible Spice Men with his Friend and Co Host Cyrus Todiwala, he has also worked on Great British Menu, Ready Steady cook , Market Kitchen and BBC regional shows
Tony is a respected chef in the UK`s culinary world and a member of the Academy of Culinary Arts, Master Chefs of Great Britain, Craft Guild of Chefs
Tony`s two books are Tasty and The Incredible Spice Men .
